[STOOK · DISTRIBUTED OBJECT STORAGE]

Store it once.Serve it everywhere.

Distributed, S3-compatible object storage from Medianova - running in Istanbul and Ankara, not tied to a single PoP. Store and serve data at scale, without lock-in or surprise costs.

Animation in three steps. Stook is drawn as two locations, Istanbul and Ankara. Upload: tools such as the AWS CLI, Rclone, an SDK or FTP put files into Stook, and each file is distributed across both locations. Protect: files are encrypted with AES-256, each upload of the same file is kept as a new version, and with Object Lock on a delete request is refused. Serve: the bucket is connected to the Medianova CDN; the first request pulls the file from one of the Stook locations once, and every request after it is answered from the edge.

Speed, freedom and predictability - as standard.

Move fast, scale as you grow, and keep your data portable.

  • Distributed by design

Stook runs across Istanbul and Ankara - your storage isn’t tied to a single PoP.

  • Effortless migration

Move gradually or all at once, without downtime or disruption to your operations.

  • Simple management

Run buckets, credentials and settings from the Medianova Cloud Panel - no CLI required.

  • No vendor lock-in

S3-compatible, open and portable: your data stays standards-based.

Point your S3 tools at Stook.

Change the endpoint and keys - the clients, SDKs and scripts you already use keep working.

  • Command line

Manage buckets and objects from your terminal and scripts.

    • AWS CLI
    • Rclone
  • SDKs

Call Stook from your application code with the AWS SDKs.

    • JavaScript / Node.js
    • Java
    • PHP and Laravel
    • .NET
  • Desktop and FTP

    Move files without writing code.

    • Cyberduck
    • FTP accounts
  • Migration

Copy existing buckets across with Rclone, then verify every object with checksums.

    • Rclone sync
    • Checksum verification

Give every app only the access it needs.

  • Scoped credentials

Dedicated access keys limited to a bucket, a path and the S3 actions you choose.

  • Master key pair

One key pair with full access to a region, for your own administration.

  • Pre-signed URLs

Share a single object for a limited time, without handing out keys.

  • IP restriction

Allow or block access to a bucket by client IP address.

Set the rules per bucket.

  • Public Access Block

Decide whether objects can be read without credentials.

  • CORS headers

Choose which browser origins may send cross-origin requests.

  • Rate limit

Cap the read and write requests a bucket serves per minute.

  • Quota

Set a maximum storage capacity for each bucket.

Keep every version. Lose nothing by accident.

  • Server-side encryption

New objects are encrypted at rest with AES-256; data is encrypted in transit too.

  • Versioning

Previous versions are preserved when objects are overwritten or deleted.

  • MFA Delete

An authenticator code is required to permanently delete object versions.

  • Object Lock

Object versions cannot be deleted until their retention period expires.

Let the bucket do the work.

  • Event notifications

Send object created and removed events to an HTTPS endpoint, a Kafka topic or a RabbitMQ exchange.

  • Lifecycle rules

Expire and clean up objects automatically with the policies you set.

  • Bucket replication

Replicate files across buckets for availability and recovery.

  • Stook API

Manage buckets, settings, credentials and FTP accounts programmatically.

Your bucket, as the CDN origin.

Connect a bucket to a Medianova CDN resource in the control panel: the edge pulls from Stook once, caches it, and serves your users from there.

See how your buckets are used.

Usage, performance and request behaviour for every bucket - in the control panel and through the API.

  • Requests and bytes

The API requests processed and the data they transferred.

  • Throughput and IO rate

Data transferred over time and requests processed per second.

  • Response time and errors

Average response time, success and failure rates, 4xx and 5xx ratios.

  • Total stored data

How much data your selected buckets hold right now.

Built for real-world workloads.

  • Backup and archiving

Durable, scalable storage for cloud backups and archives.

  • Disaster recovery

An off-site copy of what matters, ready when you need it.

  • Static assets and media

Images, video and downloads for websites and web apps.

  • AI / ML pipelines

Scalable storage for training data and model artefacts.

  • Cloud-native apps

Object storage for microservices and containerised applications.

  • Event-driven workflows

Trigger processing the moment an object is uploaded or removed.

STARZ PLAY: video, Private CDN and Object Storage on one platform.

“Medianova helped us execute a successful migration to the Private CDN platform. We then achieved an increase in streaming quality while saving in CDN costs.”
